This time I was in the mood to do stamping. I have to admit that you should be patient enough to master stamping technique. Even I consider myself as a beginner in this subject.
I picked the flower pattern from m73 stamping plate by Konad. This image is too small to cover the whole surface of my nails, that’s why I came up with the idea to paint my tips pink. I used W7 — 78 Fuchsia to create square french manicure with the straight tip line. However, I had to apply three coats to cover up the translucent black flower pattern.

For this extremely unusual version of the half-moon manicure (also known as ‘reversed french mani’) I applied two coats of lime nail polish Barbara Daly — Zest. Then I carefully painted two coats of pastel brown lacquer by OPI — NL S46 Java Mauve-A, leaving the half-moons unpainted. It’s absolutely up to you which method do you prefer to achieve this effect. Since I find stickers kind of unreliable, I used a thin nail art brush to outline my half-moon curves, and then with an ordinary nail polish brush I painted my nails upwards from the outlines. Polka dots always look cute on nails, but in combination with pastel nail polishes — cuteness just overloads! You may have already noticed that the design of my website is full of polka dots. I made this in honor of my favourite nail design style. (more…)
The primordial idea of this design was to create something similar to cake topping. However, because of the shade of yellow polish, the result reminds me more of an old banana. Some people say that this looks creepy or scary, but I regard it as a compliment. (more…)
When you’re in a “sparkling” mood, and want something more interesting than just glitter all over your nails, try creating glitter gradients. They are so easy to do! You just need ordinary opaque nail polish and your favourite glitter nail polish. (more…)
