  1. Negative Space Hearts Manicure

Valentine's Day nails with negative space hearts

The Valentine’s Day is coming! This is probably the best time of the year for a lovely heart nail design. The negative space design is a popular nail art trend today. In addition, it is easy to make and some of the ideas can be very creative and original. To create this manicure, I used heart-shaped gold metal flakes, pastel nail polish 415 Instyle Coral by Rimmel 60 Seconds and the nail brush with acetone to create the negative space effect.

  2. Pink Glitter and White French Tips

    Glitter French gradient nails

To create his glamorous gradient from pale pink glitter to white, I used Beauty UK: Glam Nails — Pink Glitter No.74 as a glittery base for my manicure (I applied two coats). Then, using Madeline Poole’s technique I applied white nail varnish to my tips. It doesn’t really matter what nail polish to use, as soon as it’s pure white and opaque. But here I used W7 — 34 White.

  3. Pastel Polka Dot Manicure

Pink orange yellow polka dot manicure

The whole point of this manicure is careful selection of different shades of nail polishes. Choose the pastel shade as a base, and then apply dots with the dotting tool on the top with more saturated shade of the same colour.

  4. Pink French with Flower Pattern

Pink black white flower konad stamping

This time I was in the mood to do stamping. I have to admit that you should be patient enough to master stamping technique. Even I consider myself as a beginner in this subject.

I picked the flower pattern from m73 stamping plate by Konad. This image is too small to cover the whole surface of my nails, that’s why I came up with the idea to paint my tips pink. I used W7 — 78 Fuchsia to create square french manicure with the straight tip line. However, I had to apply three coats to cover up the translucent black flower pattern.

  5. Geometric Green and Pink Design

Geometric nail design with black rhinestones

One of my favourite things about the Web is that this is the place where the inspiration comes from. Every time I surf the Internet, I discover more and more talented nail bloggers, but Madeline Poole is one of my favourite ones at all times. She specializes in simple shapes, geometric designs and gradients. Thus, today’s nail design was inspired by one of her most famous manicures. (more…)

  6. Glitter Jelly Sandwich: First Tryout

    Glitter jelly sandwich

Glitter Jelly Sandwich technique dulls the glitter to create a more subtle and delicate look. In other words, your manicure will be glossy and shiny, but not too sparkling.

This is my first tryout of the glitter sandwich technique. I can’t say that this attempt was successful, but not a disaster either. Anyways, we always need something to start from. A good thing about this mani is that I managed to achieve the effect of depth, which means that some glitter sparkle more, and some glitter “sank” deeper into the nail. (more…)

  8. Classic French Ombre

    Classic white french manicure

I don’t do classic nail designs often. Most of them seem to me a little bit boring and dull. Than’t why, even if I’m in a classy mood, I make something that is more interesting than pink base and white tips. That’s how I came up with this classic french ombre nail design. (more…)
