1. Blue Glitter Manicure with Gold Rhinestones

    Blue glitter polish square studs

This manicure turned out cool and unusual. I never did anything like this before. Manicure summary: orange rhinestones, tiny gold beads and gold square studs over deep blue glitter that was applied to natural nails.

  2. Pink French with Flower Pattern

Pink black white flower konad stamping

This time I was in the mood to do stamping. I have to admit that you should be patient enough to master stamping technique. Even I consider myself as a beginner in this subject.

I picked the flower pattern from m73 stamping plate by Konad. This image is too small to cover the whole surface of my nails, that’s why I came up with the idea to paint my tips pink. I used W7 — 78 Fuchsia to create square french manicure with the straight tip line. However, I had to apply three coats to cover up the translucent black flower pattern.

  3. Half Moon Lime and Brown Manicure

    Reverse french lime brown nails

For this extremely unusual version of the half-moon manicure (also known as ‘reversed french mani’) I applied two coats of lime nail polish Barbara Daly — Zest. Then I carefully painted two coats of pastel brown lacquer by OPI — NL S46 Java Mauve-A, leaving the half-moons unpainted. It’s absolutely up to you which method do you prefer to achieve this effect. Since I find stickers kind of unreliable, I used a thin nail art brush to outline my half-moon curves, and then with an ordinary nail polish brush I painted my nails upwards from the outlines. 4. Gradient Manicure Showcase

Hot pink magenta violet ombre manicure

This lovely gradient from fuchsia pink to purple was created with Madeline Poole’s technique. I used W7 — 78 Fuchsia as a base for my gradient. Then I applied Rimmel: 60 Seconds — 810 Blue My Mind to the tips.

  5. Silver Manicure with Black Dots and Floral Stamping

Grey silver nails with stamping and rhinestones

Normally you won’t see me with short nails. Because I broke one, I had to cut them all. So I’m using the opportunity to do nail designs, that I wouldn’t try on long nails. Namely, I’m talking about stamping on the entire surface of the nail. Usually, either the design on the image plate is too small, or the stamper isn’t big enough to cover my nails. That’s why, one of the good things about having short nails is that you can do stamping as much as you want. (more…)

  6. Black Crackle on Green French Tips

Craquelure black green french nail art

I made this mani because I wanted to try out my new nail polishes: Color Club — Twiggie, Color Club — Wild Cactus and W7 — Earthquake Black. Since my gradient from pale to emerald green came out not very good, I had to cover it with black crackle nail polish by W7. Crackles came out even and fine, that I liked a lot.

  7. Gold and Black Ruffian Manicure

    Ruffian backwards moon nail art

Happy birthday to me, I just turned 21! Thus I had a very pretty black and gold dress for my birthday party. Of course, I couldn’t leave my nails without the suitable manicure. That’s why I came up with the reverse half-moon, also known as the Ruffian manicure. (more…)

  8. Classic French Manicure with Glitter

    French manicure with violet glitter

This week my manicure is classic: white tip french with some glitter that divides the nail and its tip and stamping on the ring fingers. Classic and at the same time not too boring. (more…)

  9. Geometric Green and Pink Design

Geometric nail design with black rhinestones

One of my favourite things about the Web is that this is the place where the inspiration comes from. Every time I surf the Internet, I discover more and more talented nail bloggers, but Madeline Poole is one of my favourite ones at all times. She specializes in simple shapes, geometric designs and gradients. Thus, today’s nail design was inspired by one of her most famous manicures. (more…)

  10. Glitter Jelly Sandwich: First Tryout

    Glitter jelly sandwich

Glitter Jelly Sandwich technique dulls the glitter to create a more subtle and delicate look. In other words, your manicure will be glossy and shiny, but not too sparkling.

This is my first tryout of the glitter sandwich technique. I can’t say that this attempt was successful, but not a disaster either. Anyways, we always need something to start from. A good thing about this mani is that I managed to achieve the effect of depth, which means that some glitter sparkle more, and some glitter “sank” deeper into the nail. (more…)
